Meet the members of our leadership team:
Larry Draghi, Medical Practice Leader
With 24 years experience in employee benefits, Larry Draghi is an expert in evaluating program design, provider networks, funding structures, and pricing/underwriting provisions. He has worked with hundreds of clients in the design and cost effective management of their benefit programs and specializes in medical, Rx, dental and vision benefits along with stop loss programs.
In addition to serving as the leader of HealthCare Benefits Medical Practice, Larry is a Partner in the firm and is a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to joining HealthCare Benefits in 2006, Larry held a senior consulting position for over a decade with a national benefits consulting firm. He also worked as an Account Executive with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield's national account area for eight years prior to his consulting experience. Larry began his career in corporate finance at a Fortune 50 firm.
Larry earned a BA, MBA, and MPIA all from the University of Pittsburgh. He lives with his wife Kristi in Sewickley, PA.

Richard Fennell, Disability and Life Practice Leader
With more than 20 years experience in the employee benefit industry, Richard Fennell is a recognized expert in the underwriting, design, negotiation, development, and implementation of a broad range of employee benefit plans. As the leader of our group disability and life practice area, Richard has worked extensively with organizations in the strategic design of their group disability and life programs. Examples of projects recently completed include: Long term disability benchmarking study for 20,000 employee food service organization; Reserve buy-out analysis for 6,000 employee energy company; and the development/management of a group disability and life RFP for 8,000 employee aerospace organization. As an example of the value of this kind of expertise, this last project resulted in savings of 25% or $1.1M annually.
Richard serves as HealthCare Benefits' President, and is a member of our Executive Committee. Prior to HealthCare Benefits, Richard served as the President of Fennell Consulting Group, a benefits consulting firm that specialized in providing expert consulting support to mid and large market organizations with respect to their group disability and life programs. Previously Richard was a National Practice Consultant for UnumProvident Corporation. During his tenure with UnumProvident, he worked closely with a number of organizations and their consultants to design and implement group disability and life arrangements.
Richard earned a BA from Bowdoin College and is active with a number of civic and charitable organizations, including the HOPE Network and Children's Hospital Foundation. Richard lives in Fox Chapel PA, with his wife Graciana, and their four sons.

Bob Holland, Executive Chairman
Bob has over 25 years of experience in Employee Benefits Consulting and Brokerage, and is a seasoned expert in employee benefit plan design, financing, administration, and communication. He has worked with hospitals, healthcare systems, technology companies, manufacturing and retail businesses, associations and other affinity groups. Bob's experience spans the spectrum of health and welfare benefits, which grants him a unique perspective on the sustainable value created by well designed employee benefit programs.
Bob is Executive Chairman of Healthcare Benefits, a Partner and leads the firm's Executive Committee. Prior to joining HealthCare Benefits, Bob managed his own consulting firm. He also worked for international consulting organizations, employee benefit carriers, and a hospital group purchasing organization. His diverse background and expertise in employee benefits provides innovative solutions for employers and employees alike.
Bob earned a BA and MBA from Duquesne University. Bob and his wife Candy, who have two grown sons, live in Bethel Park, PA. Bob is an active supporter of several community, educational, and other civic organizations, including Smile Train and the MS Society.

David Osterhaus, Chief Executive Officer
David serves as HealthCare Benefits' Chief Executive Officer. In this role, David is responsible for the overall business operations for the firm, including strategic planning, financial management, and client service delivery. David is a Partner at HealthCare Benefits and a member of the Executive Committee.
Prior to joining HealthCare Benefits, David spent 20 years at Morneau Sobeco, most recently serving as the Managing Partner of Morneau Sobeco's U.S. Operations. In addition, David served as a member of the Executive Committee of Morneau Sobeco Income Fund, which was responsible for the overall strategic and operational management of the firm.
In his role as Managing Partner of U.S. Operations, David was responsible for the overall business operations for Morneau Sobeco's benefits administration and outsourcing business in the United States. He worked extensively with clients in the design, implementation, and ongoing delivery of benefits and pension administration solutions. Further, David is recognized for his expertise in the design of benefit programs through his work as a benefits consultant during the first decade of his career.
David earned a BA from the University of Northern Iowa. David and his wife Lisa live in Venetia, PA. with their three children.
